D. Pedro Albarino DO

Located in the southwest of Galicia in the Rías Baixas Denomination of Origin, and more specifically in the sub-areas of O Condado and O Rosal, Adegas Galegas was founded in 1995. Our main objective has always been to combine and transmit the richness of the vineyards of the area through the quality of our wines.

In the small winery of the Pazo de Almuíña we experiment with the different varietals to make unique wines such as Veigadares, known as the white of whites, Gran Veigadares, or the exclusive capsule collection of monovarietal wines D. Pedro Castes Autóctonas. It is in this boutique winery where we make wines that manage to convey the diversity and richness of the Rías Baixas.

In addition to different castes, we use deposits made with different types of wood, sizes, origins and toasting, as well as using various production processes in order to achieve high quality wines with differentiating characteristics.

As in most buildings of the time, the winery is located on the ground floor of the building, seeking an appropriate temperature and humidity for the conservation of the vineyard.

Pedro Madruga: a noble Galician warrior and feudal knight who lived in Galicia at end of the fifteenth century. His victories are attributed in great measure to its habit of rising early. The wine pays tribute to this gentleman, forever an inherent part of our culture and history.
