TaKaRa is one of Japan's leading manufacturer of sake, the company Takara.
Takara's history began in 1842. In Japan there are over 1600 different sake producers, and each of them are making various types of sake. It's almost like in the wine world. Many people associate sake with wine, it is not. It resembles rather more with beer, in which the production method and production have several common features. Sake is made from rice, water and yeast and is a drink that comes in several different qualities.
